
Thomas C. Litton, M.D., FACS
Born in Princeton, KY, Dr. Litton completed his undergraduate studies
at the University of Kentucky, where he also finished medical school.
He attended The University of South Carolina School of Medicine, in
Columbia, SC, where he completed his residency in general surgery. Dr.
Litton is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Litton is a member of the Charleston County Medical Society, the
South Carolina Surgical Society, Southeastern Surgical Congress,
American Medical Association, and the American Society of Parenteral
and Enteral Nutrition. He is on the faculty at the Medical University
of SC, and currently serves as an instructor in the Physician's
Assistant program as well as the Family Medicine program.
Dr. Litton has served as Chief of Staff at Trident Medical Center and
is currently serving his second term as Chairman of the Board of
Trustees for Trident Health Systems. He is the Liaison Physician with
the American Cancer Society's Committee on Cancer and is the Chairman
of the cancer committee.
Dr. Litton and his wife, Jan have two Cairn Terriers and live on Johns
Island. He enjoys all outdoor activities, including golf, fishing, and
hunting, and is an avid reader.

Jeffrey M. Lafond, M. D., FACS
Dr. Lafond was born and raised in Summerville, SC and completed his
undergraduate studies at Wofford College, in Spartanburg, SC. He
completed his medical education and his residency in general surgery
at the Medical University of SC, Charleston, SC. He is certified by
the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons. Dr. Lafond is a member of the American Medical
Association and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
Dr. Lafond and his wife Christine have 3 children and currently live
on Daniel Island. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, fishing,
and hunting.
